To celebrate twenty years since that Feast of Saint Dominic, we're marking the occasion with a sale across the entire Saint Dominic's Media Collection, both paperback and hardcover editions of every title. That includes titles like The Catholic Catechism on Freemasonry, The Liturgical Sense of the Readings at Mass, The Liturgy of Saint Gregory the Theology, Return to the Sacred, Tales of a Priest, and 10 more.
Twenty years ago, on the Feast of Saint Dominic in 2006, I became a Catholic. To this day, I testify that it was the most unlikely thing that has ever happened in my life, but shortly after Jesus found me in ruin and saved my life, I challenged God to lead me to His Church, and I didn't flinch, even when there was every reason to feel misled. It was the liturgy of the Catholic Mass that captured me: her silence, reverence, and mystagogy of worship. In 2017, after completing my Master of Arts in Catholic Theology from Ohio Dominican University, I founded Saint Dominic's Media to share the real meaning of the liturgy of the Catholic Mass through catechetical retreats, courses, books, and podcasts. I wanted to build a theology that did not compromise, one that connects everything we believe to our highest expression of prayer, the Mass, lest it become an empty theology. That pursuit is now the focus of my doctoral studies at the Catholic University of America, where I'm developing what I call the Liturgical Life Plan. “Thousands of readers have deepened their understanding of the Mass through these titles.” Saint Dominic's Media was never meant to be a profitable venture. It was, and remains, a means of sharing the most powerful thing that ever happened in this universe: God becoming man, so that man might become like God, and the most privileged path to that admirable exchange is the Catholic Mass. Here's how it works: from now through August 8, all 14 books in our collection are 20% off in print. And from August 6 through August 8, the Kindle edition of every title is completely free. Offer ends August 8 — once it’s gone, it’s gone. Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting Catholic publishing. — David L.
